GOT HER BACK GIRLS FOOTBALL CLINIC

Got Her Back & the Washington Prodigy teamed up at Virginia’s Norfolk State University to host the first Got Her Back Girls Football Clinic on March 4th, 2023. The Prodigy coached the next generation of female football players in this inaugural event. 

During Got Her Back clinics, current and aspiring flag and tackle football athletes have the opportunity to learn from the top football players in the world in athletes and coaches of the Women’s National Football Conference.

2022 season

The Washington Prodigy finished the 2022 season with a better record than the previous and under new Head Coach Keith Howard, the team had an optimistic outlook but was left out of the playoffs after decisions by the league selection committee. The team is committed to building on their 4-2 record and silencing the doubters for 2023!

Prodigy at Carolina Queens

Washington traveled to North Carolina to take on old rivals the Queens. The Prodigy got back to winning football, blanking the Queens 34-0.

PRODIGY VS. ATLANTA PHOENIX

The home team hosted the Phoenix and after a scoreless half, Atlanta pulled away and were able to fight off a Prodigy comeback, winning 21-8.

Prodigy AT Atlanta Phoenix

The Prodigy opened the 2021 WNFC Season in Atlanta against the Phoenix. In a tough-fought game, the away team beat their opponents 12-0.

2021 tryouts

Due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, the Prodigy’s inaugural season in the WNFC was postponed. The team kicked off the 2021 season with National Tryout day and the team is excited for the spring season.


2019 Season

The Prodigy won a historic third championship in the USWFL, defeating the Keystone Assault 39-0 in the final. The 2019 team featured the USWFL offensive and defensive MVP’s as well as Coach of the Year.


2018 season

The Washington Prodigy would win the 2018 USWFL Championship after defeating the North Florida Pumas 20-0 for the title. The team went undefeated in the 2018 season while not surrendering any points.


2017 season

After more than nine months of hard work, the Prodigy reached their goal of winning a USWFL League Championship, soundly defeating the Western Conference champion Houston Wildcats 44-0.
